Tech community launches The Trailhead to boost startups

~~~~BOISE — Raino Zoller looks at the 7,500 square feet of open space with hardwood floors and a wall full of windows overlooking Myrtle and 8th streets, and envisions Boise’s next generation of tech entrepreneurs hammering out plans for Boise’s next generation of startups.
This is The Trailhead, and Zoller is executive director. It’s empty now, but that will change in the coming weeks.
Then, Zoller envisions a young CEO talking to a corporate attorney about business classifications, or maybe a team of app developers picking a marketer’s brain for branding advice.
In short, Zoller envisions tech people connecting with business gurus or future employees as they figure out whether their ideas have enough nutrients to grow.
Zoller knows a thing or two about startups. He worked for HP before joining the small team that started Boise tech firm ProClarity in 2002. (ProClarity sold to Microsoft in 2006 for an undisclosed price.) He worked with startups as chairman of the Boise Angel Alliance Screening Committee for three years and has worked with or been a board member to a handful of Boise startups.
